ExecHealth customizes its examinations based on your age, gender, lifestyle and medical history. However, our Comprehensive Health Assessments generally include the following components:

Medical and Lifestyle History

Prior to your examination, you will be asked to complete and submit a medical and lifestyle history questionnaire. The information provided in this questionnaire will be reviewed by your medical team prior to your examination in order to develop a personalized protocol and arrange any additional testing that may be required.

Medical Assessment

Your medical assessment will be conducted by a licensed physician in a comfortable, unhurried environment and will include

  • Review of your medical history
  • Identification of risk factors related to cancer, heart disease and other serious conditions
  • Complete medical examination
  • Discussion of lifestyle habits and disease prevention strategies
  • Basic immunizations as required

Diagnostic Screening

Your assessment includes detailed diagnostic screening designed to identify early stages of disease and other health issues. Screening includes

Cardiovascular Assessment

A thorough evaluation of your cardiovascular system includes:

  • Resting electrocardiogram (ECG)
  • Cardiovascular disease risk assessment based on your body mass index, blood pressure, cholesterol profile and other measures
  • Treadmill sub-optimal V02 max protocol

Ergonomic and Fitness Assessment

A registered physiotherapist and kinesiologist will conduct a full ergonomic and fitness evaluation which includes

  • muscular strength testing
  • body fat composition testing
  • range of motion and flexibility testing
  • posture evaluation
  • joint stability and joint mobility testing

Lung Function Testing

Spirometry is used to measure air flow and air volume in the lungs. The measures obtained by spirometry help diagnose asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Vision Assessment

Eyesight is evaluated through

  • visual acuity testing
  • evaluation of extra-ocular muscles
  • peripheral vision testing

Hearing Assessment

Hearing is assessed using pure-tone audiometric testing. Should follow-up testing be required, it will be arranged through our partner - Advanced Hearing Aid Clinic.

Nutritional Counselling

Our registered dietician will evaluate your eating habits and provide you with a meal plan and personalized recommendations for improvement.

Referrals

Should your comprehensive health assessment result in a need for additional imaging (MRI, ultrasound etc) or referral to a specialist, it is arranged immediately on your behalf.

Written Health Report and Action Plan

You are provided with a written health report and an action plan. A mini-CD containing your medical history and the results of their health assessment is also provided.
